Software Engineer
As Software Engineer for Backbone, Carlos focuses his efforts on changing the world by helping people. A self-described hard-working and outspoken idealist with high standards, Carlos uses positivity and well-chosen words to empower others. His favorite engineering work includes integrating Backbone with cannabis compliance track and trace systems like Metrc, and third party strategic partners like Trym, StashStock, and Treez.
Carlos strives to be better every single day. He remains grateful, even in light of the past year which, for so many, was the hardest year, yet for others things didn’t change much. He believes we need to give back to the world around us and help people open their eyes to know nothing is impossible. Carlos encourages people to go out and try instead of complaining about how hard things are.
Outside of work, you can find Carlos cooking great food and planning a trip to South Africa to dive with white sharks and volunteer at a penguin shelter.
