Phelan Earp
Solutions Architect
Phelan got his start in the cannabis industry at a state-regulated analytical testing lab for cannabis in Denver, CO in 2014. After 5 years of prepping, analyzing, and reporting everything from potency to homogeneity to residual solvents to pesticides he naively decided to start a hemp farm in Tennessee with friends.
While in the Volunteer State, Phelan worked in a DEA-certified hemp testing lab for the better part of a year while discovering he was in no way qualified or prepared to grow hemp on a large scale. After getting bought out of the farm by his partners, Phelan returned to Colorado and worked in hemp processing and manufacturing for 6 months before coming on with Backbone as a Solutions Architect with the Professional Services team. Phelan loves the many different perspectives that his role at Backbone gives him of the cannabis industry as it evolves from its infancy.
Phelan enjoys camping, traveling, and playing outdated music when not on the job.
